UKONS 2023 | Treatment considerations for younger and elderly patients in oncology

Sophie Maycock, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK, comments on how cancer care can vary based on the age of patients. Survivorship and support networks are more important considerations in younger patients, with body image following hormonal therapy in prostate cancer being an example. Additional support for relatives and patients undergoing palliative care is also important during end of life care. This interview took place at the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Annual Conference 2023 in Newport, UK.
