NCRI 2018 | HiLo: low risk thyroid cancer can be treated with lower doses of radiation

New results from the HiLo trial (NCT00415233) show that patients with low risk thyroid cancer can be treated with lower doses of radiation, as explained here by Jonathan Wadsley, MB, BChir, MA, MRCP, FRCR, of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield, UK. Dr Wadsley explains how this means that patients could have an improved quality of life without increasing their risk of the relapse. These results mean that guidelines can now be updated. This video was recorded at the 2018 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Cancer Conference, held in Glasgow, UK.
