ESMO GI 2025 | South-East England Network’s experience of reflex molecular biomarker testing in colorectal cancer

Wing Kin Liu, PhD, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses the South-East England Network’s experience of reflex molecular biomarker testing in colorectal cancer. In this study of 107 patients, only one patient had molecular information ready for their first multidisciplinary team meeting, and just 20% had results available for their first oncology appointment, potentially preventing optimal treatment selection for initial therapy cycles. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2025 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
