EAU 2021 | Pros and cons of radiotherapy for lymph node recurrences after radical prostatectomy

Piet Ost, MD, PhD, Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium, gives an overview of the role of radiotherapy for the treatment of lymph node recurrences after radical prostatectomy. Prof. Ost talks on the advantages and disadvantages of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) versus elective nodal irradiation (ENI), in particular focusing on associated toxicities and the incidence of recurrences. Prof. Ost also highlights the upcoming Phase II PEACE V-STORM trial (NCT03569241), which aims to define the optimum salvage therapy for oligorecurrent nodal prostate cancer metastases. This interview took place at the virtual European Association of Urology (EAU) Virtual Meeting 2021.
