Andrei Gafita, MD, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore, MD, comments on emerging clinical biomarkers of response to 177Lu-PSMA-617, including circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), which could detect more aggressive cancers, and PSMA positron emission tomography (PET) biomarkers, both thought to be applicable in the multi-centre setting. A predictive biomarker would ameliorate clinical management around patient-based selection of 177Lu-PSMA-617 over cabazitaxel or docetaxel. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
