GU Cancers 2021 | Electronic pathology reporting and clinical trial matching for advanced prostate cancer

Hala Borno, MD, BS, University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA, shares her experience of the integration of electronic pathology reporting (e-path) with Trial Library, a clinical trial matching technology, to address disparities in trial recruitment for patients with advanced prostate cancer. The combination of these technologies allows engagement with patients early in their disease journey in order to change patient attitudes regarding clinical trials in this patient population. Dr Borno explains how this has the potential of improving both the diversity and recruitment speed of future clinical trials. This interview took place during the 2021 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.
