ASCO 2023 | The key take home messages surrounding patient-reported outcomes

Claire Frances Snyder, PhD, MHS, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, describes the impact of including the patient perspective and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) alongside clinical research. By providing clinical guidance, a partnership is created with patients, which is the key for cancer care and research. Institutions can use the PROTEUS resources in order to implement PROs in a clinical setting. PROTEUS acts as a tool that can build on and address many of the topics covered at the congress from a patient perspective. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Annual Congress in Chicago, IL.
