Joseph Herman, MD, MSc, MHCM, Northwell Health Cancer Institute, New Hyde Park, NY, explains the importance of involving a multidisciplinary team when discussing the optimal treatment plan for patients with borderline-resectable pancreatic cancer. Dr Herman highlights the advantages of discussing each patient with a tumor board, in order to get input from oncologists, radiologists, and surgeons on what the best treatment plan is for each individual patient.
