BOPA 2018 | ATMPs: an innovative class of medicines

Advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) are a novel class of medicines offering treatment options for diseases that currently lack effective therapies. Here, Anne Black, BPharm, of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Newcastle, UK, talks about three types of ATMPs, including gene therapy, somatic cell and tissue-engineered medicinal products.
