ECCO 2017 | Overview of the SIOPE Strategic Plan by Prof. Martin Schrappe

Martin Schrappe, MD, PhD of University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel, Germany discusses the aims of the SIOPE Strategic Plan in the EU Agenda. Prof. Schrappe argues that the quality of cure and care needs to be improved. Further, there is inequality in terms of cure rates in Europe as they are poor in some countries compared to others. This is one of the issues the Strategic Plan addresses. There is also a need for tools that help patients with their patient history after they have been cured.
