WCLC Sept 2021 | Highlights in NSCLC from WCLC 2021
Laura Bonanno, MD, Istituto Oncologico Veneto, Padova, Italy, shares her perspective on the impact of data in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) presented at WCLC 2021. In particular, the CheckMate 9LA study (NCT03215706) confirmed the efficacy of immunotherapy in patients with NSCLC with brain metastases, and together with the POSEIDON study (NCT03164616), it further demonstrated the benefit of treatment combination with chemotherapy and immunotherapy in NSCLC. Lastly, CheckMate 9LA also proved that ipilimumab could be safely used in clinical practice. This interview took place at the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) 2021.
