AACR 2023 | Reducing disparities in lung cancer screening

Julie Barta, MD, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, provides an overview of current disparities in screening for lung cancer. Racial inequalities have bene observed in terms of outcomes, and by increasing eligibility, screening rates will increase. Dr Barta also highlights additional underserved communities based on geography, age, and sexual and gender identity. This interview took place at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2023 in Orlando, FL.
