AACR 2023 | Remaining unmet needs in mesothelioma

Peter Szlosarek, MD, PhD, Barts Cancer Institute, London, UK, describes unresolved issues regarding the management of mesothelioma, which currently has limited treatment options and low five year survival rates. Chemoimmunotherapy involving durvalumab or pembrolizumab with pemetrexed and platinum have shown encouraging signals. Prof. Szlosarek additionally highlights targeting tumor suppressors.
