ASCO 2023 | Molecular testing for the evaluation of colorectal cancer

Jennifer Rachel Eads, MD, Abramson Cancer Center, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, comments on current molecular testing protocols in colorectal cancer. Testing for RAS and DNA mismatch repair mutations are the standard in colorectal cancer. Dr Eads additionally talks about the need to increase HER2 testing, where an increase in anti-HER2 therapies are becoming more available to patients. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Annual Congress in Chicago, IL.
