Benoit Gallix, MD, PhD, American Hospital of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, comments on the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the management of gastrointestinal cancers. Large scale data integration is necessary for AI to simultaneously analyze in vivo data such as MRI and CT scans and genomic data. By integrating multiple sets of data, a comprehensive picture of the patient’s condition can be ascertained. This interview took place at the ESMO World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer (WCGIC) 2023 in Barcelona, Spain.
