WCLC 2023 | Patient-reported data in dose-finding clinical trials

Bellinda King-Kallimanis, PhD, LUNGevity Foundation, Tarpon Springs, FL, outlines the 2023 International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) webinar on the use of patient-reported data to optimise dose-finding clinical trials. The session explored the design of early phase dose-finding studies, the difficulties of those trials in the era of targeted therapies in contrast with chemotherapies, and how patient-reported data can complement clinician-reported data. Dr Kallimanis discusses the research presented by patient advocates on getting involved in working groups and conducting research with patient advocacy in mind. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
