ESMO 2023 | Total tumor volume is predictive of patient response to immunotherapy

Marco Donia, MD, PhD, Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev, Denmark, outlines the results of his study using pre-treatment CT or MRI scans to predict patient outcomes with immunotherapy. Total tumor volume was found to correlate with better treatment outcomes, although the approach could still be refined by identifying better indicators of total tumour volume or better predictors of treatment outcomes. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2023 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
