ASCO 2024 | CheckMate 901: nivolumab with gemcitabine-cisplatin in urothelial carcinoma

Camillo Porta, MD, University of Bari Aldo Moro, Bari, Italy, gives an overview of the CheckMate 901 trial (NCT03036098), which evaluated the efficacy of nivolumab with gemcitabine-cisplatin in treatment-naïve metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC). The trial demonstrated significant improvements in overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients receiving the combination therapy, showing higher objective response rates (ORR) and durable complete responses (CR) compared to chemotherapy alone. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
