ASCO 2024 | BASECAMP-1: a prescreening study for the EVEREST-1 and -2 trials in solid tumors

Caleb Smith, MD, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses the BASECAMP-1 prescreening study (NCT04981119), which aims to screen patients with solid tumors for the EVEREST-1 (NCT05736731) and -2 (NCT06051695) trials. The aforementioned trials will assess novel Tmod CAR T-cell therapies and patients with tumors with human leukocyte antigen-A*02 (HLA-A*02) loss of heterozygosity (LOH) are eligible. Expanding the HLA subtype to all HLA-A*02 subtypes resulted in increased diversity of enrolled patients. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
