Tit Albreht, MD, PhD, from the National Institute of Public Health in Ljubljana, Slovenia, addresses the challenges and importance of changes required to establish the EU network of comprehensive cancer centers. Significant changes in health policy and organizational concepts will be necessary in some member states. Extensive discussions and direct communications have already begun with various authorities across European countries. Encouragingly, all 27 EU member states, along with four additional countries, have committed to participating in this project. This commitment demonstrates a collective effort to establish the network and implement cancer centers, thereby enhancing cancer care across Europe. This interview took place at the EAU 2024 congress in Paris, France.
