ESMO 2024 | Safety of BNT113 plus pembrolizumab: early findings from safety run-in cohort
Nabil Saba, MD, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Atlanta, GA, discusses key safety considerations for clinicians administering BNT113 in combination with pembrolizumab. Based on the safety run-in cohort of 15 patients, no alarming safety signals were observed, and the treatment was generally well tolerated, with treatment-related adverse events primarily being flu-like symptoms. Dr Saba emphasizes that while the early data is promising, it is still too soon to draw final conclusions regarding the safety profile. Further analysis of randomized data will be crucial in providing more definitive answers.
