Natalie Vokes, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, compares dual and single agent checkpoint inhibitor therapy in treatment-naïve metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC). Whilst addition of CTLA-4 inhibitors result in long-term immune responses, only certain patients may benefit due to high toxicity. PD-L1 additionally has shown not to be a strong indicator for CTLA-4 response, but STK11 and KEAP1 may be linked to CTLA-4 response. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
