WCLC 2024 | Limitations to using artificial intelligence for imaging in lung cancer

Xiuyuan Chen, MD, Peking University People’s Hospital, Beijing, China, comments on potential issues surrounding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for imaging in lung cancer. Additional research is needed to validate their utility in the clinic. Whilst AI can extract information from CAT scans, studies need to prove the data is of clinical use for healthcare professionals and patients. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
