ESMO 2024 | Addressing unmet needs in osteosarcoma treatment

Qiyuan Bao, MD, PhD, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China, gives an overview of unmet medical needs in osteosarcoma, a rare subtype of sarcoma. Osteosarcoma often presents with resectable tumors at first relapse, offering potential for a second cure. However, awareness and treatment options remain limited. Improving resectability, survivability, and long-term outcomes for these patients. The Phase II PROACH study (NCT03742193) will hopefully bring novel treatments for these patients. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
