ESMO 2024 | The clinical impact of amivantamab and chemotherapy in EGFRm NSCLC

Sanjay Popat, MBBS, FRCP, PhD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, explores the MARIPOSA-2 trial (NCT04487080), which demonstrated a survival advantage with the combination of amivantamab and chemotherapy in patients with EGFR-mutant, advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). While the overall survival benefit has not yet reached statistical significance, a significant progression-free survival benefit supports the regimen’s potential. The combination is now approved by the EMA, with FDA approval anticipated. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
