ESMO 2024 | Translational insights from the SEQTOR trial in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Ramon Salazar, MD, PhD, Institut Català D’Oncologia, Barcelona, Spain, comments on the Phase III SEQTOR trial (NCT02246127), which evaluated treatment sequencing for advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (panNETs). Patients received either everolimus or streptozotocin plus 5-fluorouracil as first-line therapy. Genetic analysis revealed mutations in transcription, chromatin remodeling (DAXX), and tumor suppression genes, consistent with prior panNET studies. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
