Andromachi Kougioumtzopoulou, MD, MSc, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, discusses a Phase II trial (NCT03993249) of nivolumab and trimodality therapy (TMT) with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) for non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (nmMIBC) in patients unsuitable for or unwilling to undergo radical cystectomy. Results showed that nivolumab with CRT significantly improved 2-year relapse-free survival rate compared to CRT alone, with manageable adverse events. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
