Andromachi Kougioumtzopoulou, MD, MSc, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, explores the potential of nivolumab to improve overall survival in non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (nmMIBC) when added to standard chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Preliminary results in a Phase II trial (NCT03993249) indicate promising survival benefits, but additional Phase III data is needed to consider a shift in clinical practice.
