ESMO 2024 | Evaluating the potential for nivolumab to extend survival in non-metastatic MIBC

Andromachi Kougioumtzopoulou, MD, MSc, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, explores the potential of nivolumab to improve overall survival in non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (nmMIBC) when added to standard chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Preliminary results in a Phase II trial (NCT03993249) indicate promising survival benefits, but additional Phase III data is needed to consider a shift in clinical practice. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
