Gabriele Zoppoli, MD, PhD, University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, explores the integration of multigene testing in standard practice for advanced breast cancer. Rebiopsies during disease progression allowing for the identification of actionable mutations such as PI3K and estrogen receptor. Expanding testing panels to include less commonly targeted genes could reveal additional therapeutic targets, facilitating the development of novel agents. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
