Pompiliu Piso, MD, Krankenhaus Barmherzige Brüder Regensburg, Regensburg, Germany, discusses the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in surgery, highlighting its potential to improve safety in robotic procedures. While AI is not yet widely integrated into practice, it offers exciting prospects, such as guiding surgeons in decision-making and optimizing dissection lines to reduce morbidity and improve patient outcomes. This interview took place at the ESSO 43 congress in Antwerp, Belgium.
