SMR 2024 | IGNYTE: RP1 with nivolumab in anti-PD1-resistant melanoma

Gino In, MD, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, shares results from the Phase I/II IGNYTE trial (NCT03767348) of vusolimogene oderparepvec (RP1) in patients with advanced melanoma unresponsive to prior anti-PD1 therapy. The trial involved a cohort of 140 patients who received a single dose of RP1 followed by a combination of RP1 and nivolumab, a PD-1 inhibitor, of up to 8 doses. RP1 demonstrated good efficacy and safety, which provides a promising novel approach for the treatment of high-risk advanced melanoma. This interview took place at the 21st International Congress of the Society for Melanoma Research (SMR) in New Orleans, LA.
