Karissa Britten, MD, University of California, Los Angeles, CA, highlights the associated risks with the use of anthracycline in therapeutic strategies for early-stage breast cancer. Large studies like the ABC trials (NCT01547741, NCT00493870, NCT00887536) have demonstrated that anthracyclines may not provide the best overall survival benefits and are associated with a higher risk of other comorbidities. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
