GU Cancers 2025 | Impact of structured exercise on fatigue in patients with advanced prostate

Benjamin Maughan, MD, PharmD, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, gives an overview of a prospective trial (NCT03421782), which aims to assess the effects of a 12-week supervised exercise program, Personal Optimism With Exercise Recovery (POWER), on cancer-related fatigue in men with advanced prostate cancer (aPC) undergoing ADT-based regimens. Results showed a clinically significant reduction in fatigue and sarcopenia, as well as improved aerobic capacity. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
