GU Cancers 2025 | Mitigating the impacts of ADT-induced fatigue in prostate cancer

Benjamin Maughan, MD, PharmD, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, comments on the challenges in managing fatigue in patients with prostate cancer, particularly those undergoing androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). While stimulants such as armodafinil have been tried, they have shown inconsistent results in improving fatigue across the patient population. The nature of ADT treatment additionally makes it difficult to find effective interventions to improve fatigue outcomes. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
