Roger Li, MD, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, gives an overview of why local therapies alone are better than local and systemic treatments for BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMBIC). Patient acceptance and tolerability concerns with systemic therapies make local therapies more sustainable, and Dr Li also highlights the effectiveness of intravesical delivery systems in treating the entire bladder. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
