GU Cancers 2025 | Advancements and recent approvals in NMIBC: SunRISe-1, KEYNOTE-057, and more

The treatment landscape for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) continues to evolve, with several recent FDA approvals such as pembrolizumab, nadofaragene firadenovec, and nogapendekin alfa inbakicept (NAI) with BCG. Roger Li, MD, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, comments on recent findings from trials such as the SunRISe-1 (NCT04640623) and KEYNOTE-057 (NCT02625961), which explored novel approaches such as TAR-200, a drug-eluting device.
