GU Cancers 2025 | Phase II trial of neoadjuvant durvalumab & chemotherapy in high-risk UTUC

Nîmes, France, discusses a Phase II trial (NCT04617756) of durvalumab with chemotherapy (gemcitabine/cisplatin or carboplatin) in patients with operable high-risk upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). The study found promising efficacy with a high rate of non-infiltrative residual tumors and notable pathological complete responses. The safety profile was favorable, with no immunotherapy-related adverse events. A Phase III trial is planned to further validate these findings. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
