Alexander Sherry, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the primary results of the Phase II EXTEND trial (NCT03599765), which evaluated metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) plus continuous androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in oligometastatic prostate cancer. MDT with ADT improved progression-free survival, radiologic progression, and castration-resistance-free survival. Immune analysis also revealed MDT-induced TCR repertoire modulation, linked to longer progression-free survival and validated in the ORIOLE trial (NCT02680587). This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
