Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, discusses early findings from the Phase II PERSIAN trial (NCT05717660) of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) with apalutamide and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in patients with low-burden metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). While overall rates of early biochemical response were similar between treatment arms, patients with fewer than three metastatic sites experienced a greater benefit from SBRT. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
