Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, discusses the growing role of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in primary kidney cancer and the importance of patient selection. Recent analysis suggests that patients with poor nephrometric scores, who are not ideal candidates for partial nephrectomy, may benefit from SBRT. These findings highlight SBRT as a potential alternative treatment for select patients. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
