Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, comments on prospective analyses suggesting that patients with homologous repair (HRR) mutations may benefit more from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). Understanding the impact of breast cancer gene (BRCA) mutations on SBRT outcomes in patients with oligometastatic cancer is the focus of current analyses. This research could provide valuable insights into optimizing treatment strategies for this patient population. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
