GU Cancers 2025 | EPIC-A: cemiplimab with chemotherapy in penile carcinoma
Amarnath Challapalli, MBBS, MD, MRCP, FRCR, PhD, University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, Bristol, UK, updated results from the Phase II EPIC-A trial (NCT05213313) of cemiplimab with platinum-based chemotherapy in locally advanced or metastatic penile carcinoma. The combination showed encouraging clinical benefit and response rates, with a manageable safety profile. Ongoing investigations into biomarkers and quality of life aim to further define the regimen’s role as a first-line standard of care in this rare cancer. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
