Andrei Gafita, MD, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore, MD, discusses the real-world use of 177Lu-PSMA-617 in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Outcomes are similar to that of the VISION trial (NCT03511664) regarding anti-tumour efficacy, overall survival and toxicity profile. While circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) biomarkers displayed heterogenous results in patient response outcomes, various PSMA PET biomarkers were positively associated with patient outcome. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology displayed the highest accuracy in identifying non-responders. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
