ASCO 2025 | IGNYTE: efficacy of RP1 & nivolumab in superficial & visceral melanoma lesions

Gino In, MD, MPH, University of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Los Angeles, CA, discusses the IGNYTE trial (NCT03767348) of vusolimogene oderparepvec (RP1) plus nivolumab in anti-PD-1-refractory melanoma. Both injected and non-injected lesions, including visceral tumors, demonstrated similarly meaningful reductions, supporting systemic activity. Efficacy outcomes were consistent across superficial and deep/visceral injection groups. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
