Han Chong Toh, MD, National Cancer Centre Singapore, Singapore, provides an overview of advancements in CAR-T cell therapy, highlighting that China is currently leading in the number of clinical trials, due to lower costs and regulatory flexibility. China’s approach to moving patients into first-in-human trials from animal studies is less stringent, but not less safe.
