CACA 2025 | New treatment strategies and biomarker advances for esophageal cancer

Hongjing Jiang, MD, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital, Tianjin, China, gives an overview of challenges in managing esophageal cancer in China, which has one of the highest rates of esophageal cancer in the world. Advances in neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy has enabled reduced chemotherapy doses, and novel biomarkers such as TRGC2+ NKT cells will complement current detection techniques. This interview took place at the 2025 Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) Science & Technology Award Talks in Kunming, China.
