Informed decision-making and patient-centered care is essential, where clinicians need to be transparent about the limitations of current knowledge and the value of clinical trials to advance the field. Different patients will make different value-based decisions regarding treatment, and clinical trials are necessary to determine the best treatment for high-risk patients. This interview took place at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
