ASCO 2026 | OrigAMI-4: dual EGFR/MET targeting demonstrates durable responses in pretreated HNSCC

Barbara Burtness, MD, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, comments on the OrigAMI-4 trial (NCT06385080), a multi-cohort study investigating subcutaneous amivantamab and hyaluronidase-lpuj in recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Dr Burtness presents pivotal results showing a investigator-assessed objective response rate (ORR) of 42%, highlighting that co-targeting EGFR and MET appears to be of utility in head and neck cancer, with amivantamab demonstrating impressive clinical activity and a favorable safety profile. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
