ASCO 2017 | IBM Watson: Taking the world by storm and aiding in the prognosis of cancer

Somashekhar, MCh, FRCS.Ed, from the Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Center, India, talks to us about the rapid success achieved by the IBM Watson for Oncology (WFO) cognitive computing system for the treatment of lung and colorectal cancer and notes that in the last year, the system has already expanded across 25 countries globally and he believes that in the next 2-3 years, the system will become accessible to most, if not all, oncologists.
