ASCO GI 2021 | Prognostic value of body weight loss in previously treated metastatic gastric cancer

Michele Ghidini, MD, PhD, Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda-Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy, discusses the results of a post-hoc analysis of the Phase III TAGS trial (NCT02500043), evaluating trifluridine/tipiracil in patients with metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma. In this retrospective analysis, body weight loss was found to negatively associate with survival outcomes in gastric cancer patients receiving third- or later-line treatment.
